Syfer was born in the year 1999, September the twenty-first at Mshiyeni Provincial Hospital. He started his elemantary education KwaMaphumulo. He's journey in music would begin at the age of 13years in 2013. The name "Syfer" is derived from a primary school talent show called Cyphers where he was noticed for his way of freestyle rap lyrics. He then moved back to Umlazi, Durban after completing his high school to pursue his dream of being a musician. He was then signed to glebelandstainment and in 2018 soon felt he should go independent. He has composed his own music and also has collaborated with asum RSA as his executive producer on feature singles. Artists he has had the opportunity to share the stage with are: Fazel, Tagster, Sam, Ghostkiid, Rhythm, Blackman and NQ. He sees himself sharing the stage with profiled musicians in the entertainment industry.
