My band is a start-up original band. I have played stride piano for 40 years, and I incorporate this style in my writing. The musicians I have chosen to join me have played their instruments all their lives as well. We have all been in our own individual bands over the years, so everyone is very experienced in performing live. We just completed our first two songs in the studio as a demo to promote ourselves. We have three more completed and ready to record, with six more at the half-way point of being completed. We are working toward our first album, and are in the process of trying to find a producer to pick us up. Our music has a wide range from boogie to ballads to Spanish tinge. My influences over the years have been Jelly Roll Morton, Robert Johnson, and Elton John. We like to play in a swing style. I feel like we are writing some very good material, and I am very excited about the guys I have picked to play with. Everyone knows what they are doing. I hope we can find a producer to give us a listen. I will update my EPK as time goes on.
