This EP is primarily R&B-based, with many of the songs being influenced by pop and new wave. The inspiration for “Prone To Love” came essentially from Ms. White's own personal experiences of romance, chaotic and confused life. The EP was an attempt to break free from this vicious circle, which was a result of an underprivileged childhood. The EP revolves around vulnerability, day-to-day dilemmas, dreams, family, and independent women failing to resist counterfeit love. The EP contains elements of hip pop soul, soul and neo soul. She portrays a sexually independent woman, tough girl persona with volatile and emotionally jagged lyrics which give this EP a gritty feeling and a realism missing from much of the devotional love songs. Ms. White’s soul values are powerful, sweet and soulful.
