Brief meaning behind ‘I’ve Got The Time’I’ve Got The Time is a song with a very basic premise - guy likes girl, girl doesn’t feel the same way. We wanted the lead single to be a song lots of people could relate to - and unrequited love certainly fits that description. The guys feelings for the girl are so strong that he claims he has the time to wait indefinitely, in the hope that one day she feels differently. The ‘sea of green’ refers to the girls eyes but can also be interpreted as envy. There is an indication that the guy believes the girl already has strong feelings for him but is scared of admitting it and allowing herself to become vulnerable - ‘I can hear it in the way you talk you’re scared of drowning here...’
